Michael joined Jewish Voice Ministries International in 2016 as its CFO. He has recently assumed responsibility for the Operations functions as well.

After graduating from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with distinction, Michael was commissioned an officer in the US Navy. He served as the Combat Information Center Officer on the USS Vincennes and an instructor at the Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School at Naval Air Station Miramar. After successful tours with tremendous leadership opportunities, Michael furthered his education by earning an MBA at the Harvard Graduate School of Business. Then, Michael joined Procter & Gamble and quickly moved through the ranks of brand management and marketing on the Tide brand. After joining PEPSICO, he served as the Market General Manager for Taco Bell in the Kansas City region. Michael led the country is sales and profit growth during his time in this role and was promoted to Director of Strategic Development where he led the finance and strategic planning departments for Taco Bell’s real estate and development department and eventually led the entire real estate and development departments. As YUM! Brands, Inc. (the parent company of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, Long John Silver’s, and A&W Restaurants) neared the end of their divestiture strategy, they approached Michael with the opportunity of acquiring restaurants and becoming a franchisee. In 1999, he acquired 63 restaurants and doubled in size with the purchase of an additional 60 restaurants in 2000, making him one of the top five largest franchisees in the Pizza Hut system. In addition to being the chief executive of his business, Michael also served as the Chief Financial Officer. He was selected by his fellow franchises to serve on the Board of Directors of the International Pizza Hut Franchise Holders and the Chairman of the Pizza Hut, Inc. Finance and Technology Committee, where he was instrumental in developing system strategies and implementing internet ordering, phone technology, and many other initiatives. In addition, he was an industry advocate in Washington lobbying Senators, Congressmen, and their staffs. His company completed the sale of its restaurants in late 2009 and he spent most of the year winding down the operations and consulting until becoming the Chief Operating Officer for the Transformation Opportunity Fund (TOF). In this capacity, he established all the processes and systems for this turnaround private equity fund and intended to supervise the portfolio companies as they were acquired. While working at TOF, he started consulting to turnaround candidates and was asked by American Micro, a precision manufacturing firm, to serve as CFO and board member. In this capacity, he led the financial turnaround of the company including restructuring of debt and workforce. Michael was responsible for the Finance, Accounting, IT, Human Resources, and Legal functions in the US and China. He was also instrumental in creation and execution of a new Business Plan which is leading to current and future growth.

Michael is a business executive who has a record of leadership and consistently improving businesses and managing costs and organizations. He has operated in a variety of roles in diverse organizations and with many different constituencies. Michael has personally completed the due diligence process on thirteen deals, developed fifteen new restaurants, remodeled twenty-five restaurants, developed a strip center and office building, and led hundreds of others transactions. Operating as financial leader of his company, he negotiated very favorable loan terms with major lenders.

Michael’s passion has been to help people turn their dreams into reality. He has coached many businesses and non-profits across a variety of industries through the start-up phase.

In addition to his business interests, Michael has a passion for ministry. He has served on the board of several ministries – Heirs Covenant Church of Cincinnati; Harvest Assembly in Chesapeake, VA; Good Fruit Ministries; Heart of Compassion Partners; and Honor and Remember. Michael has a heart for children and has taught Sunday school for over fifteen years for ages ranging from 4 to 9 years old as well as led a group of Royal Rangers and been a foster parent to over 15 children. He is a strong advocate of prayer and has been part of regional intercessory prayer teams for many years. He has also been involved with several healing and deliverance ministries as well. He has also served the Regent Center for Entrepreneurism and the International Christian Chamber of Commerce in various ways. Michael has a passion for discipling men and seeing their lives transformed. As a result, he has been a small group leader and has taught several adult discipleship classes. Michael’s goal is to see God’s Kingdom come in every aspect of his life and the life of those around him.

Michael has been married to his wife Charlene for twelve years. He has two daughters, Bryanna (28) and Brooke (24) and recently welcomed his first grandson into this world.
